Lumio (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a communication support app designed to help autistic children express themselves, intended for use by children under the guidance of a parent or caregiver. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Account Information When a parent or caregiver creates an account to use Lumio, we collect:

Data We Do Not Collect Lumio does not collect location data, contacts, device identifiers for advertising, or browsing history. Lumio does not display ads and does not share data with advertising networks.

Lumio uses Firebase (a service provided by Google) for account authentication and data storage. Firebase may process account information (email) as part of providing these services. Firebase’s own privacy practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Lumio uses on-device text-to-speech technology to support communication features. Text entered or selected within the app for speech output is processed to generate audio and is not stored or transmitted beyond what is necessary for the app to function.
Lumio is designed for use by children under the direct supervision of a parent or caregiver, who is responsible for creating and managing the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The account holder (parent/caregiver) is the individual who provides their email address during sign-up.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage of passwords and secure data transmission. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
